I used watercolors to make a splattered and color washed background, and a floral stamp by Gina K Designs to make several versions of this image. For this card, I colored the stems but left the blooms uncolored in order to make the butterfly stand out. The sentiment is by Stamplorations (from Trendy Butterflies)and the butterfly is by Mark's Finest Papers. My card base is inked to coordinate with the paint splatters.

A very sunny and cheery creation, thanks for sharing at STAMPlorations. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card Karen! I'm almost sure that Whimsy Stamps are a USA brand and that you will find that background 'Frozen' paper I used quite easily. Simon Says Stamp stock it and no doubt many others will. Isn't it funny though how we always envy stuff produced across the Atlantic to where we live. ~The fickle life of a card maker!
