Jolly Elf

This stamp image always makes me laugh when I use it. It's from a set by Recollections, and the sentiment is by My Momenta. I also used a tag die by Gina K Designs and paper by DCWV. Although I used pale blue to color around the image, and to ground him, but it doesn't seem to show up in my photo. A star brad and glitter enamel dots are fun embellishments.

Blossom Greetings

I wanted to send a cheerful springtime card to my 92 year old aunt, and I happened to find a patterned paper scrap that went really well with a sticker by Recollections that has been in my stash for a long time. I rarely use stickers, so have been trying to make a point out of adding one or two to a card every so often. This one coordinated so perfectly that I couldn't believe my luck. I used a fancy die by Spellbinders and a small ribbon bow.

Easter Basket

We saw our grandchildren today, which was eased by our having gotten both of our COVID vaccinations this past month, and I had to whip together an Easter card last minute. Easter has sneaked up on me yet again, and it was a good thing I have this cute die set by Kat Scrappiness on hand. The chick, basket, grassy hill and bunny are all from the set. I used card stock by DCWV, a heat embossed sentiment by My Momenta, and tiny stamped eggs (that I fussy cut and colored) by Close to My Heart.

Pixie's Snippets challenge 399. I used a lot of snippets to make this one! The eggs, in fact, were stamped on a tiny narrow strip of white card that I almost tossed out.

Always in Season

I used one of my favorite stamp sets by Stamplorations, Coffee Is Always in Season, for this card. The tag is by Taylored Expressions and the sentiment and image are both by Stamplorations. I just added some bakers twine and a brad, and heat embossed the sentiment.

Warm Wishes

I recently ordered this adorable Poppystamps die and was tickled to pull it out and use it to make this card. The paper is by DCWV, and you can't see the glitter detail, but it's there. I used an embossing folder by Darice, and label die by Spellbinders. I cut the coffee part with kraft paper and glued it inside the cup for extra detail. A little bit of my favorite jute twine and Nuvo drops finished this off.

Spring Birthday

My aunt has a birthday next month, and she's not into pastels at all so I made this card with deeper shades. The stamp is by Stamplorations and the sentiment is MFT.  The stitched flag die is by LDRS and the paper is K&Co. I also used a tag by Stampin'Up and punched the eyelet reinforcement, then added a little brad.

Cup of Birthday Happiness

I used a cup die by Paper Smooches, tag die by Pretty Pink Posh and pretty springtime colored paper by DCWV to make this card. The stamped steam image is from a set by Joy Clair. The black and white border at the bottom is made with washi tape and I added a black eyelet and hemp twine to the tag.

Just Because

Although we are still not prepared to start traveling on vacation, I can still dream of the tropics can't I? I used this coffee cup die by Kat Scrappiness, and flower stamps by Autumn Leaves. The mesh stamp is by MFT and the sentiment is Hero Arts. I made the background by stamping with various smaller stamps, including a trival design that I made with left over rubber which was trimmed from old Stampin' Up stamps.

Enjoy

I had fun last night, pulling out my coffee cup die by Kat Scrappiness and making a few coffee themed cards. In honor of spring, I also added a butterfly, which I fussy cut from patterened paper. The stamped sentiment circle is an old set by Stampin'Up. Then, I added some knotted twine for extra texture. I made several of this design for my nursing home card donation.

Scandi Greetings

I love the look of a CAS Scandinavian Christmas card, with kraft, red and white. So I pulled out this set, Scandi Christmas, which came as a freebie with PaperCraft Essentials magazine last year. I combined it with double stitched rectangle dies by Gina Marie, and a button die by Stamplorations.

Tea Time

I recently won a stamp set in a giveaway that included a little tea pot and croissant image. Stamped and colored them both, then fussy cut the croissant and popped it up on foam tape. The tag die is by Altenew. The background was made by adding Pearlescent ink in Orchid, to an embossing folder by Couture Creations, and then running it through my Big Shot. Added a little bow from seam binding ribbon, and a couple of stamped hearts to finish. I made this in happy springtime colors to celebrate the warmer weather.

Special Moments

I still have more of this purple script paper left, but I'm making a dent at least. The label dies are by Spellbinders and the border punch is by Fiskars. The stamped banner behind the Special moments ribbon is  from Beautiful Words by Simon Says Stamp. I also used a butterfly stamp by Rubber Stampede

Coffee post-it and gift card holder

After I made my coffee themed card, I whipped up a post-it and gift card holder with the same collection and sent it all off to a coffee loving friend of mine.  The gift card holder is made with a library pocket die by Penny Black, from the A Pocket Full die set.

Coffee Awesome

Photoplay's collection, The Daily Grind, is such a fun collection that I bought two of them so I have extra! I used stitched rectangle dies by Gina Marie, and fussy cut the coffee cups from patterned paper. Then I laminated the whole thing to make it glossy (and, I admit it, just to see if my laminating machine still works!).

Live, Laugh, Love

Here's another card with that purple script paper. I told you I'm serious about using it up. I added a wood mounted stamp by Rubber Stampede, and sentiment by Winnie & Walter. The fancy label die is by Spellbinders and I fussy cut the sentiment flags from patterned paper as well. I used to steer clear of using purple, because I never knew what colors to combine it with. Now I always reach for green and I love the look.

Easter Bloom

It seems like I just recently missed making my Valentine's Day cards, and now I've missed St. Patrick's Day as well. In order not to completely blow it this year, I started on my Easter cards tonight. This one can double as a happy Spring card, and so I made several of them with different sentiments. The stamp and die set is an old one by Hero Arts (Hello Sunshine), with a sentiment by My Sentiments Exactly. I used amythyst colored ink on the flower, then added deeper colored lilac ink with a marker. Spritzed it all with water for a water color look. The rectangle dies are by Spellbinders and the punched border is Stampin' Up. I also used oatmeal colored seam binding ribbon for the bow, then sprinkled a few rhinestones.

The flower was stamped on my rectangle, and then I stamped the flower top again, and fussy cut. I wanted some dimension so this was a good way to go.

Pixie's Snippets challenge 398. I used snippets for my stamped and fussy cut flower top, and for the little sentiment banner. The punched border was inked to match the flower and was also a narrow strip. cardstock for my sentiment so curved the stamps

Hope Your birthday is a barrel of Monkeys

While I was in the jungle design mode, I remembered a little baggie of animal die cuts that I made some time ago. I am one of those few people who bought a Cuttlebug Kids die cut machine before I even bought a normal Sizzix for myself. My granddaughter loved cranking out monkeys, lions and zebras but most of them got put aside. I liberated this cutie and added him to a card that uses a lot of very old patterned paper from a calender. The stamped sentiment is by Fiskars.

Double D challenge, book covers. I was inspired again by the Tiger in My Garden book cover and the idea of a jungle animal in the backyard. Another inspiration is all that greenery around the border.

Long Life

I have an uncle who is turning 92 next month, and I had to pull out this old stamp image by Mark's Finest Papers to make him a card. The Long Life sentiment is an even older, wood mounted stamp by an unknown company. I used the Tim Holtz wood design embossing folder and inked and distressed all edges. I actually planned to use papers from a Graphic 45 collection called Safari, but couldn't get to my papers in the closet because we've stacked up boxes in front of in preparation for having new flooring put in. Then I remembered this stamp!

Double D challenge, book covers. I was inspired by the book cover, A Tiger in the Garden. Love the idea of this little girl befriending a tiger in her garden.
