Easter Bloom

It seems like I just recently missed making my Valentine's Day cards, and now I've missed St. Patrick's Day as well. In order not to completely blow it this year, I started on my Easter cards tonight. This one can double as a happy Spring card, and so I made several of them with different sentiments. The stamp and die set is an old one by Hero Arts (Hello Sunshine), with a sentiment by My Sentiments Exactly. I used amythyst colored ink on the flower, then added deeper colored lilac ink with a marker. Spritzed it all with water for a water color look. The rectangle dies are by Spellbinders and the punched border is Stampin' Up. I also used oatmeal colored seam binding ribbon for the bow, then sprinkled a few rhinestones.

The flower was stamped on my rectangle, and then I stamped the flower top again, and fussy cut. I wanted some dimension so this was a good way to go.

Pixie's Snippets challenge 398. I used snippets for my stamped and fussy cut flower top, and for the little sentiment banner. The punched border was inked to match the flower and was also a narrow strip. cardstock for my sentiment so curved the stamps

As you Like It. My favorite way to cut an image is fussy cutting. No need for matching dies
