Easter Hedgie

I decided to move away from the traditional Easter bunnies and chicks for this card, and pulled out my adorable little Hedgehog die by Hero Arts to make this one. The papers are from The Green Stack by DCWV, which has the most wonderful texture woven right into the paper. I die cut the sentiment with the Splendid Happy Easter die by Poppystamps, and fussy cut a carrot to tuck into Mr. Hedgie's paws. Don't you just love his little prickles?! This is almost making me want to plant a garden this year, but with the long-standing drought in California showing no sign of abating, I'll skip it again. Who am I kidding anyway...I'd rather be crafting!

Snippets Challenge 425. What a fun way this was to use snippets. The hedge hog was cut from a scrap, as was the sentiment. I only had a bit of the garden patterned paper, so squeezed out as much as I could by cutting an oval and layering over the green. Yay for snippets!
