I got your back

I just love the adorable images in the Joy Clair stamp set, Best Buds. Who could resist these cute little turtles who support each other through thick and thin? I colored the turtles with alcohol markers and added some glitter gumdrops by Your Next Stamp. The tag was hand cut out of card stock and I added twine and a brad. Easy peasy!

Sweet!

I don't usually craft with pink, because I have a lot of trouble coordinating different shades of pink, and trying to figure out what looks good with it. So, when I realized that I have a bunch of pink papers and embellishments by Doodlebug Designs I was beyond excited. These don't all belong to the same collection (and neither are they even from the same release year) but they saved me the problem of trying to match pinks with pinks. The sentiment is by Altenew, with a banner die by Spellbinders. The scalloped circle die is by Die-Sire from Crafters Companion.

Stacked Thanks

I had fun coloring up this stacked teacup image by Joy Clair (My Cup Runneth Over) in fall colors, but usually have to use only part of the image, as it won't all easily fit on a standard card base. This time I decided to make a tall, slim card...and use the whole stamp. Now I want to be late for someone's birthday, just so I can send this card! The sentiment is from the Joy Clair set, Christmas Coffee.

Go Nuts

I have a lot of birthdays coming up in October and November, so I grabbed my Friendly Forest stamp by MFT, and a the Woodland Animals set by Hampton Arts to make this CAS , fall-themed birthday card. The circle dies are Stitched circles by MFT and the paper is by DCWV.

After I finished the front of the card, I opened it up and stamped a simple image inside as well, using the same masking technique for the grass. Very quick and easy.

Best year Ever!

I used a sentiment by Papertrey Ink (Birthday Sentiments), a background stamp by Stampin' Up, and a butterfly stamp by Stamplorations (Trendy Butterflies) to make this feminine card. The lace is from my sewing stash...where I had amassed yards and yards of lace and ribbon years ago. I used a label die by Spellbinders for the main sentiment. Pink is not my usual go-to color so I try to challenge myself to use it every once in awhile.

I had to together a last minute gift for a friend's retirement party, and as they are wine lovers, I inked up this stamp from the Unity Stamp set, Sip-Faced. Using autumn colors, I pulled out a Spellbinders label die in the largest size to cut the wine hang tag, then used dye reinkers to make a water-color wash. All I needed to do was to stamp the image and a sentiment...and tie some twine around the bottle...DONE! I had never made a bottle hang tag before but a few online tutorials made it quick and easy.

Blueprint Birthday

I decided to make several masculine cards this week, to have on hand when I need them. This card was stamped with an image from Tim Holtz' Blueprint Assortment stamp set. I used a deckle edged tag, papers by Kite Tails, an antique brass brad and Twistel twine.

Like Cats? Have I got the Blog Hop for you!!

Just taking a break from posting my cards to let cat lovers know about the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop on the blog, Her Peaceful Garden. If you love cats, you can't miss it! 2019 Cat Lovers Hop

Adjust the Sails

I needed a masculine card for my brother-in-law's birthday, and since he is a big fan of the ocean I found this stamp by our Daily Bread Designs (Ship) to be the perfect focal point for this card. The compass embossing folder is by Darice and the sentiment is by Stamplorations (True North). I heat embossed the sentiment in white and then added some pewter eyelets.

Ahoy Matey!

I have had these adorable stamps by Stampendous for quite some time (Whisper Friends) but only inked them up tonight. My 5 year old granddaughter has been invited to several birthday parties this month and next so I thought this would be a cute one for a boy who likes pirates. I combined it with a stamped sentiment by Simon Says Stamp (Birthday flowers) and some twine. The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug.
