I recently got this adorable Kitty die by Spellbinders as part of a blog prize, and used it for the first time last week. I have to admit that it took a lot longer to put this card together than I expected, as the die had a lot of tiny layered parts. After struggling to glue down the little bits, I realized that I really need to use double-sided adhesive sheets to cut the pieces out for the next time. That would make it so much easier! The sentiment is by Impression Obsession, and I also used some burlap paper by DCWV, an embossing folder by Darice, and stitched circles by MFT.

ReplyDeletePrecious card! You were LUCKY to win that super cute cat die from Spellbinders. :) I like how bright and cheerful your card is....especially using that pretty blue background patterned paper.
ReplyDeleteThis little cat is super cute! Beautiful card, Karen.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, but I know what you mean about assembling those little parts. I have a bunch that need assembling like that and when I pulled them out I said "Not today!" LOL Fabulous job! xxD
ReplyDeleteAwww, this is really sweet!! And I know what you mean about those little bits (or thin die sentiments!!) and gluing them. Ack! Such a pain!! But you did a purrfect job!
ReplyDeleteOh, super cute. Such a pretty card.

Adorable card!!!
ReplyDeleteI can see what you mean about the teensy tiny parts of the die. SO CUTE, though. You did a magnificent job. Love the sweet look on the kitty's face that goes with the cheerful colors and happy sentiment. I also like that burlap strip for texture. I pulled my DCWV burlap out for one of the Daily Game cards this week, too...I think it is for tomorrow's card, but I can't remember for sure right now! Ha.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for playing along in the #2019CatLoversHop!!

ReplyDeleteCute card.
ReplyDeleteKaren, great job putting all the layers of that die together, and I love that blue background paper!
ReplyDeleteYour card was worth the effort. So cute and great colors.
ReplyDeleteA sweet card, and I like the bold and at the same time simple color scheme.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your kitty card! Definitely worth the time it took to put together! This is my first year participating in the Cat Lovers Hop - we have eight fur babies (Poopie, Molly, Jack, Walter, Tigger, Milo, Dusty and Mocha Latte) that we love to the moon and back! I'm so happy to see you here also and have the chance to visit your blog!

Love the kitty acrd teh color combo and even the sentiment. Blessings
ReplyDeleteLove the combination of colours.
ReplyDeleteOh Karen - what a wonderful card - the expression on the kitty's face is priceless. A bit like Dudley's rather shocked 'after' photo which will pop up on my Snippets blog post for tomorrow. 'Mammma - she darned near scalped me!'Oddly enough, he's already looking more fluffy - perhaps I need to rub him across the carpet to create static and make his hair fluff out!
ReplyDeletePs Stick-It double sided sheet is good for adhering die cuts. It isn't perfect though and I always run the completed panel through the die cutter just using the flat plates to make sure it sticks firmly.
