This large word die by Creative Expressions makes a perfect card for assembly line card making, with its bold focal point. I added it to an embossed background by Parklane, and used punched holly leaves and rhinestones for berries. I think this might be my main card for next Christmas, as it lends itself to using up scraps in different colors, as well as being fairly easy to put together.

Deck the halls ornament
Here is another version of the Papertrey Ink ornament, using the Petite hexagon ornament die. I went with white, and heat embossed images on royal blue for this one. The stamped images are by Fiskars, Penny Black (sentiment), and Making Memories. More sparkly twine, and a vintage look that will appeal to one of my good scrapbooking friends. Instead of a card, I made these , and wrote a message on the bottom.

Penguin Ornament
An online friend gave me this ornament die by Papertrey Ink and I used it for the first time today. It was more complicated than I expected, but fortunately, there were a couple of Youtube videos that showed how it all goes together. LOTS of fold and double sided tape, and rather tedious fiddling around, but I ended up making 4 of them. This one is for my grandkids, so I stamped funny penguins by Flora and Fauna in the windows, and made it in bright colors. A little bit of sparkly bakers twine is all it needed. I also made some for my local friends, with different stamps and color combos, and I may even try a version with a tea light inside.

More Warm Wishes
This little coffee cup by Poppystamps is a favorite for winter. It's fun to cut it out of different colored papers, and pop it on a card front. The die has a slit along the rim, to allow for a gift card tucked in, but works equally as well as a plain die cut. I cut the warm wishes part from kraft cardstock, ink it, and adhere for a warm and yummy beverage. The paper was given to me by a friend, so not sure who makes it, and the embossing folder is by Crafts Too.

Warm Wishes
These little Whittle kitties by Poppystamps are just adorable, and when I saw Michele Henderson on the Poppystamps design team pair it with the Warm Wishes coffee cup last year I had to make my own version. The cup and kitties are by Poppystamps, the holly leaves are by Spellbinders, and I used a sentiment by Flora and Fauna. Small dies are always perfect for using snippets and scraps, and I made a whole litter of kittens in different colors with my baggie of brown and gray snippets. I cut the cup twice, once out of red and once out of kraft, then inked the "coffee" park before trimming and adhering to the mug.

Snowy Gnome
I won this pretty embossing folder one year, on Pixie's Snippets challenge blog, for her annual Christmas challenge. It's perfect for making multiples, as it shows off a pop of color as a focal point, while adding texture. The girl gnome die is by Simon Says Stamp, and the holly leaves are Papertrey Ink. I added a silver heart brad from my stash and called it done! I don't know how everyone else is doing on their holiday preparations but I am sadly behind! Still making cards, and trying to think about wrapping gifts.

Spreadin' Holiday Cheer
I just love the whittle animal dies by Poppystamps, and I also love using up little bits and snippets of paper from my overflowing stash, so this is my kind of card. The ornament die is by Sweet N Sassy, and I used the Whittle Deer by Poppystamps, stitched Grassy Field die by MFT, tree die by Little B, tiny snowflake die by Crafter's Companion, and an embossing folder by Parklane. This was simple enough that I went ahead and made multiples of it for different family members. Even more fun was getting together with my daughter to share my various dies, and make Christmas cards one afternoon while the guys took the grandkids to the park. Mom and daughter crafting time is just the best!

I used the Winter Fairies stamp set by Poppystamps, along with a stitched border by MFT and holly die by Spellbinders to make this cute little ATC. The fairies are great for use all year round, just by changing the color of their outfits and using different accessories.

Happy Thanksgiving
I needed to make several cards, quickly, to send to elderly relatives, and a sheet of Fresh Cuts tags were the perfect solution. I used paper by DCWV, and added a gold brad, burlap by DCWV, and an epoxy sticker for a quick and easy design. As I didn't want to add extra bulk by using a dark brown layer to frame the design, I used a marker to add a border, for the same effect.
Holiday Wishes ATC
I played with a few dies sets that I hadn't used much tonight, and made another Christmas design with these Poppystamps dies. The birch tree frame and the squirrels are all by Poppystamps, and the tiny ornament hanging from the branch is by Crafters Companion. The sentiment is Flora and Fauna. My original idea was to draw a silver line to hang the ornament, but my silver pen had dried out and so I had to figure something else that would work. A piece of silver thread, and holes punched beneath the branch and ornament solved my problem! Aren't they little squirrels cute with their holiday decorations up already?!

Have A Merry Little Christmas
I bought this cute fireplace die a long time ago, but never got around to actually using it. It was definitely time! I used a lot of different stamps and dies on this card and it was a lot of fun to make. The fireplace (with log and flames) and tiny mouse are by Poppystamps, and the tiny trees are by Gina Marie Designs. I also used a cat silhouette die by Impression Obsession, and stamp by Momenta. The fireplace looked bare, but I didn't have any garlands or stockings that are small enough to go with this set, so I added a string of colored rhinestones instead. I cut out some extra die cuts to play with when I have more free time and won't let this die set gather dust again!

I needed a few Thanksgiving cards to send to my family, and what better to be thankful for than coffee! I used papers by DCWV and Echo Park. The coffee cup die and pumpkin are by Spellbinders. I embossed the coffee cup with a folder by Darice.
Coffee Break
As the 2021 Fall and Winter Coffee Lovers Hop winds up, I made a few more cards. Fall colors and coffee just seem to go together, don't they? I used border punches by Fiskars, along with a coffee cup die by Paper Smooches, steam die by Cottage Crafts, and acorn and leaf dies by Spellbinders and Karen Burniston. The background paper was made using stamps by Stampin' Up.

I pulled out a very old stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers (which is no longer in business) to make this autumn themed card. The papers are by DCWV, and scraps from my stash. The little pumpkin and leaf die cuts are by Spellbinders and I found that olive green cord stuffed into a drawer. It's time to stop hoarding all these old supplies and USE them!

Fall is my favorite season, and I never seem to make enough fall themed cards before I get caught up in my Christmas card and tag making. I did, however, manage to make this fall blessings card to send to my sister for Thanksgiving. The background is make with distress inks and I used a large leaf die by Sizzix, along with a pumpkin die cut from my stash, and vine die by Spellbinders. The sentiment die is by Karen Burniston and was cut from candy box packaging.

A friend gave me some old papers that she was purging from her stash, and this patterned paper was among them. This llama print is by Paper Studios and I knew just the stamp to combine it with. It looks like I'm going heavy on the tea themed cards this week, although I'm actually a coffee drinker most of the time. Of course, a nice cup of tea is always great on a cold fall day, so I'm fine with either. The patterned paper is by Making Memories and I used a digital stamp image that I received in a grab bag from a blog friend. The sentiment is by TCP studios, and everything is colored with alcohol markers.

Birthday Tea
I was introduced to rubber stamping way back in the early 1990's and the first time I ever heat embossed an image was at a D.O.T.S. stamping party at our local YMCA. Wow, it was like magic to see that powder melt into shimmer and shine! The demonstrator had us stamp and heat emboss tea cups and tea packet images, but they were left uncolored, as we never got past the heat embossing. That image sat in my stash for nearly 30 years and it was time for me to toss it or color it. The fussy, outdated style didn't inspire me one bit (which is why it sat so long) but I decided to color it in a bright green and use an ink smooshed background to give it a more modern look.
The sentiment is by Taylored Expressions, and the cup and tea bag are fussy cut and water colored. Thank goodness this is finally colored and on a card, and I don't have to look at it every five years when I reorganize my craft supplies, ha!

Penguin Greetings
When I saw a couple of challenges that called for slimline dies, I had to pull out my two die sets and make this Christmas card. The stitched slimline rectangle set is by Kat Scrappiness, and the holly ovals are by Creative Expressions. I added some cute penguins from the Penguin Agenda by Mama Elephant, and die cut trees by Little B. The joy sentiment die is by Taylored Expressions and not sure who makes the sentiment stamp. I even managed to use some very, very old Provo Craft paper that has been in my stash for at least 10 years! For some reason, I'm having a lot of trouble with my card photo and the penguins look blue, rather than the dark gray I colored them.

I bought a really thick pad of card making papers by Colorbok years ago, and have been slowly pulling paper from it to make cards. There are so many different designs in the pad that I've been able to make every card look different. This one uses a circle frame stamp by Gina K Designs, a sentiment die by Lawn Fawn, and papers by Colorbok.

Dream
I taught card making classes at the local senior center before the pandemic shut everything down, and one very early technique that I showed my group was how to make a fan design from a circle. Back then, I didn't even own a die cut machine so we cut the circles out by hand. You cut the circle in half, and then slice it into pie shaped pieces. The half circle can be stamped, inked, embossed...whatever you wish. A bit of inking around the edge gives it charcter and then it's ready to be turned into a fan. It was actually a good technique to show them, since no one else had a die cut machine either! I used a stamp by Club Scrap, and a small asian coin stamp by Inkadinkado. The sentiment is by Dimensions.
Autumn Tag
I always love the warm colors of autumn, and I also added touches of
gold to this tag. The floral stamp is an old one by Stampin' Up, and I
heat embossed it in gold, then colored with watercolor pencils. The tag
is also heat embossed in gold, and the mat is a scrap of handmade
metallic gold paper that I found at an outlet store years ago. The
sentiment is by BoBunny, and the raw silk ribbon is by Really Reasonable Ribbon

Ghostly Treat bags
I was invited to a friend's house for an all day crafting get-together with my closest friends, and was so looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I ended up with an infected tooth with a cracked root, and had to have it extracted today. Now I'm on pain killers and antibiotics, and also having side effect from my COVID booster shot which I had the day before, ugh. So, rather than spending the whole day crafting, I'll probably just stop by long enough to drop off Halloween treat bags filled with candy, and chat a little with everyone. Life goes on, and I'll probably play in my craft room this weekend on my own.
The paper I used is by DCWV from the Spookytime stack, and I used a gift bag die by Lawn Fawn. The purple ghost is from Essentials by Ellen.
Hope everyone gets all the treats their stomachs can hold on Halloween...and then some!
